Up on the Rooftop
The holidays are full of characters … here’s how we celebrate the ones we all know and love.
Uncle Santa
In his younger years, Michael Shaheen (Web & Marketing Technology) would dress up as Santa for friends’ family celebrations! Since his sister had a baby, He’s restarted the tradition, and his wife even joins him in her own festive gear.
Fuel for the Flight
You can wait for Santa as long as you like, but if you don’t attract the reindeer, he might miss your house! Thankfully, Abbie Hediger (Marketing Communications) sprinkles reindeer food around the yard to make sure the family gets all their gifts … or coal!
Bye, Kris Kringle.
Hello, Krampus.
Krystle Grandy (Creative) attends Krampusnacht, a German holiday, every year on December 5 in Pittsburgh’s Market Square. Don’t know who Krampus is?
Krystle says: “Krampus, who is a demonesque type Santa, comes to visit bad children and to ‘take’ where santa comes to give. I love celebrating Krampusnacht because it’s a night where in Pittsburgh Krampus comes out to parade in the streets downtown and darkness takes over our holiday market for a night.”
