Brand Reset & Lead Generation

Overview

It’s a low interest category. With advertising that all looks the same — men in suits.

Personal injury law isn’t exactly a category people seek out. The advertising can feel forgettable: men in suits, recycled taglines, nothing that earns a second look. For decades, Edgar Snyder was the face that cut through the sea of sameness.

Then he retired.

That could’ve created a brand crisis. Instead, it was a creative opportunity. A chance to reimagine what an Edgar Snyder & Associates campaign could look and feel like. One that could reach a younger audience that the traditional approach was never built for.

“In a Perfect World” was born from that opportunity. Animated, unexpected, and impossible to mistake for anything else in the category.

The Goal

Edgar Snyder & Associates needed to do two things at once: protect the brand equity built over decades and rebuild it for a new generation. Awareness had to hold. Leads had to grow. And the creative had to earn attention in a category often ignored.

  • Brand Continuity

    Maintain high awareness

  • Lead Generation

Drive measurable growth in lead volume

  • New Audience

Shift from traditional media approach to reach a younger demographic

The Challenge

Every personal injury law firm was running the same playbook. Same look, tone, and execution. Breaking through wasn’t just a creative challenge. It was a strategic one.

Illustration of a car accident. A person is sitting on a guardrail with their head in their hands and another person consoling a child that is holding their arm. Text that says, Find Edgar An illustration of a person holding a hardhat with their arm in a sling and using a crutch. Text that says, Hurt at Work? Find Edgar An illustration of a person falling down a set of damaged stairs. Text that says, Find Edgar An illustration of a motorcycle laying on the ground. Text that says, Find Edgar

And the timing made it harder. Transitioning away from founder-as-face brand risks the equity that made the brand recognizable in the first place. The creative had to feel fresh without feeling foreign.

The Solution

The answer wasn’t to replace the brand’s spokesperson. It was to build a new world entirely. “In a Perfect World” replaced the category’s sea of suits with something no competitor could replicate—highly engaging animation that made Edgar Snyder & Associates unforgettable, relevant, and customer-first.

  • Animation

A bold creative departure from category norms, build to earn attention

  • TV & OOH

Anchor executions that established the new brand world at scale

The campaign ran across TV and OOH, with social amplifying the reach and driving direct lead generation where the younger demographic actually lives.

  • Younger Demo

Cross-channel strategy designed to reach and convert beyond the traditional

  • +213%

Leads attributed to social media in the first year

The Proof

  • +4%

    Aided Awareness

  • +3%

    Unaided awareness in core market

The reimagined brand held its ground and grew. Awareness metrics moved in both aided and unaided measures, lead volumes climbed across every digital channel, and the “In a Perfect World” creative stood apart in a category that hadn’t see anything like it.

  • 22%

Lead volume tied to paid digital

  • 24%

Auto accident leads from digital channels

  • 72%

Say advertising was unique for the category

I am thrilled with how much we’ve been able to embrace change for the next generation and the next level of success.

Overview

They feel unseen and only want to engage with those that understand their world.

from Brunner’s Audience Research

Church’s Texas Chicken had a bold new menu and a clear goal: reach diverse communities authentically. Not performatively.

So we went to where the culture lives. We recruited freestyle rappers straight from Church’s communities. We threw a block party in an Atlanta parking lot. Then we captured exactly what happened.

No scripts. No staged reactions. Just honest moments from real communities that reflect who Church’s customers actually are.

That honesty traveled. Across TV, streaming radio, digital video, OOH, and paid social in English and Spanish. And the communities it was built for responded.

The Goal

Church’s Texas Chicken had rolled out exciting new brand positioning. As a fast follow, the brand was ready to launch a new line of spicy menu items, emphasizing unique flavor and exceptional value. The goal was twofold:

  • 5%+

    target comp sales lift

  • Ethnically Relevant

for White, Black, & Latino families

The Challenge

The campaign needed to show Church's rich diversity in a highly authentic way and help the brand deepen its connection to the communities it serves.

A group of people standing together behind the wording Get Spicy, A collaboration of Culture

The Solution

The “Get Spicy” campaign targeted individuals aged 25–54, equally split among White, Black, and Latino families, with an average household income under $40,000 annually, living within 15 minutes of a Church’s restaurant. Research showed that summer provided opportunities for social gatherings in low-income neighborhoods, where our audience sought affordable food options.

We leveraged these insights by recruiting well-known freestyle rappers from Church’s communities to create authentic, relatable content. Filming in an Austin parking lot, we captured the essence of long summer days and vibrant social occasions, reflecting the multicultural nature of our audience.

  • 150+

people sampled Church's new spicy menu items from the food truck — their authentic reactions were captured onsite.

The party had a DJ, music, games, prizes, and a food truck serving samples of Church’s new spicy menu items to 150+ people. We were onsite to capture their authentic reactions to the food, and that honesty helped establish third-party credibility as the menu items became available in restaurants nationwide.

  • Do Debt Differently: MMI is on a mission to change how America overcomes financial challenges. We helped launch their first-ever B2C campaign, breaking through the “sea of sameness” in traditional financial service advertising with human and empathy, showing that tackling debt can feel different, and better.

Brunner Wins Gold at the 2025 Atlanta ADDY Awards

Recognized for impactful work with Church’s Texas Chicken

The integrated advertising campaign for Brunner’s client Church’s Texas Chicken won a Gold ADDY Award at the Atlanta Ad Club’s American Advertising Awards Gala on Feb. 26.

Get Spicy Church's Texas Chicken Campaign Graphic
A Gold ADDY Award recognizes the highest level of creative excellence, showcasing exceptional expertise in the category. Without the incredible partnership with Church’s, we would not have been able to bring their brand to life. We’re thrilled by this recognition and ready to keep pushing our creativity in 2025!

About the winning campaign

Get Spicy!

The Gold ADDY Award winning campaign was a result of the need to stay relevant in an increasingly competitive QSR market. The brand needed to reignite excitement among its diverse customer base, particularly its growing Hispanic audience, in a meaningful way.

For over half a century, Church’s Texas Chicken has been a cultural landmark, thriving on the same city blocks as hip-hop culture and earning shoutouts from iconic rappers. By collaborating with local artists in the “Get Spicy” campaign, Brunner deepened Church’s community connection, empowered creators, and amplified the brand’s influence, leading to increased sales and cultural resonance.

Brunner immersed itself in the vibrant communities surrounding many Church’s restaurants. One group that truly embodies the heat we bring is the local artists who hustle and bring their unique flavor to the sights and sounds of our neighborhoods. Church’s Texas Chicken has always been about more than just food; it’s a flavor-filled staple in neighborhoods where culture thrives. Leveraging our insights, we developed a campaign showcasing a typical summer day on the block where friends who love hip-hop grabbed some Church’s and started freestyling in the parking lot. We collaborated with real local artists who represent our audience, and worked closely with them to ensure lyrics were true to who they are in real life.
