Brunner's Pride Ad Recognized Nationally with Bronze OBIE Award
Work created in partnership with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation continues winning streak
Atlanta (June 17, 2019) – “Fires are indiscriminate. So are we.” With these words, and a memorable creative execution unveiled during Atlanta’s 2019 Pride Parade, Brunner was honored with a bronze OBIE in the ‘Nonprofits and Public Service’ category as part of this year’s program. The ad, which first launched as a banner on an Atlanta Fire Department truck during the 2018 celebration, was designed in collaboration with client Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation (AFRF) and continues to be an anchor of the organization’s multi-channel diversity recruitment campaign.
The recruitment initiative, entitled “Step Forward”, launched in November. Incorporating print, digital, broadcast, in-home and internal experiences, the series of inspirational ads communicate a sense of respect for those who serve, as well as equality for all.
“LGBTQ community is a very underserved recruiting group in the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. The Pride message reminds the crowd that it doesn’t matter how you identify, all that matters is you step forward and answer the call,” says Jeff Shill, Creative Director at Brunner.
