In the summer of 2008, DeVry University turned to Brunner to help them develop a live, interactive presentation that would expose young women – mostly high school juniors and seniors – to career opportunities in technology, business and healthcare technology. Titled HerWorld, DeVry is conducting the presentation to young women across the country starting in spring 2009. Brunner though took the HerWorld experience one step further for DeVry. We created a social networking site that is open to young women who have participated in a HerWorld event. The HerWorld Forum allows them to connect with other participants, post goals and other content and comment on topics such as education, employment, affording school and life in general. Additionally, DeVry has been provided monitoring capabilities to censor language or content not suitable for the forum. The HerWorld Forum was launched in March 2009.
