Brunner's Mentor-Based Internship Program Welcomes 2019 Class
Five students have joined the agency, across Pittsburgh and Atlanta offices, for the summer session
Pittsburgh (July 8, 2019) – Not long after Brunner opened, the company hired its first intern. Still with the company today, that employee was the first to experience Brunner’s commitment to mentorship, talent development and forward progress. And now, the 2019 class of interns made up of five students, Megan Clista, Isabel Ganovsky, Hunter Kira, Evan Vissat and Morgan Bauer, will also get to experience the Brunner way.
Striving to be hands-on, educational, and experience-driven, Brunner creates an environment where interns are encouraged to ask questions, soak up information, and work through valuable tasks and responsibilities – both for the agency and with its clients. The agency pairs each student with a mentor in their department for the summer to ensure there is continuous 1-1 learning.
“At Brunner we focus on exposing our interns to the full marketing cycle,” said Brunner’s Director of Public Relations Meredith Klein. “Our goal is to facilitate an environment where they can confidently ask questions, collaborate, and bring new ideas to the table.”
2019 interns include:
- Megan Clista, Brand Engagement
o From Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Megan is a rising junior at Point Park University studying towards a degree in Public Relations and Advertising.
- Isabel Ganovsky, Brand Engagement
o From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Isabel is a rising senior at Elon University and will graduate with a degree in Strategic Communications.
- Hunter Kira, Creative
o From Raleigh, North Carolina, Hunter is a rising senior at LaRoche College where he is a Graphic Design major.
- Evan Vissat, Creative
o From White Oak, Pennsylvania, Evan is a rising senior at Seton Hill University where he is studying Communications and Creative Writing.
- Morgan Bauer, Communications and Media
o From New York, New York, Morgan is a rising senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is an Advertising major.
“Everyone I’ve met at Brunner is so inviting, and from the beginning you can tell how passionate they are about the work they do,” Bauer said.
Brunner’s 2019 summer additions joined the agency earlier this month and will be onboard through August.
“The environment here almost makes ideas as valuable as currency. The opportunity to work in such a forward-thinking place is incredible,” said Vissat.
“With just under a month of experience with Brunner, I can say this internship has been more than I could have imagined,” Clista said. “Interning in this environment is invaluable because of the constant passion, motivation, and openness to teaching that makes the possibilities of what anyone could learn here limitless.”
