Brunner’s Managing Director Earns Coveted Spot in 2020 Leadership Atlanta
Jeff Maggs among elite professionals representing Atlanta's leadership community
Atlanta (May 15, 2019) – Just two years ago, Brunner’s senior executive Jeff Maggs relocated from Pittsburgh to Atlanta to expand the agency’s footprint throughout the southeast and reinforce its market positioning. In that short time, he’s transformed the agency’s efforts in the local community and received one of the region’s highest honors – an invitation to join Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2020.
Leadership Atlanta, formed in 1969, is one of the most mature leadership training programs in the country. Comprised of the region’s most influential leaders with diverse backgrounds and experiences, Leadership Atlanta brings individuals together with the ultimate goal to make Greater Atlanta a stronger community through service.
“This recognition means a great deal to me,” said Maggs. “As a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh, I know first-hand the power of these programs. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet, work side-by-side with, and make life-long friendships with a diverse group of leaders across a wide spectrum of organizations.”
As a member of the program’s 50th class, Maggs will take part in Leadership Atlanta’s exclusive training program – which includes a nine-month series of retreats, seminars, service projects, discussion groups, and community tours – to explore community issues and find long-term benefits all while developing leadership skills.
Maggs says he is looking forward to providing solutions that can impact positive change in the region, while also having fun throughout the process.
“Over the next year, I plan to roll-up my sleeves and invest my passion, energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual strength into the program to make a difference,” added Maggs. “As a result, I hope to create a legacy and be a model leader that my family, Brunner colleagues, and other leaders respect and value.”
Maggs joined Brunner in 2006 as senior vice president, director of account management and was promoted to chief client officer three years later. He earned the title of managing director in 2017 and hasn’t stopped moving since.
In the past year, Maggs was a major contributor to Brunner’s new partnership with national cleaning solutions leader, Zep, led the agency’s efforts in developing award-winning creative for client Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation, and maintained longstanding-client YellaWood’s positioning as a leading brand with its successful “Woodland’s Most Wanted” campaign.
“In just a short amount of time, Jeff proved his industry expertise and passionate leadership were the perfect combination to build Brunner’s presence in Atlanta,” said Scott Morgan, president and partner at Brunner. "We’re very proud of Jeff and look forward to continue witnessing him make a lasting impact – both at the agency and in the community.”
Other notable leaders selected into the 2020 class alongside Maggs include executives from Chick-fil-A, Southwest Airlines, and The Coca-Cola Company.
Brunner is an innovative advertising agency, operating at the confluence of Creativity, Data Science, and Technology.
