Brunner Earns Platinum and Gold Accolades from Graphis Advertising
Agency recognized for outstanding work for Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation and YellaWood®

Atlanta (November 7, 2019) – Pride, diversity and a group of undercover beavers came out on top at this year’s Graphis Advertising Awards. Created by Brunner together with clients, Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation (AFRF) and Yellawood®, Brunner earned Platinum and Gold status from the organization promoting exceptional talent in design, advertising, photography and art.

AFRF’s participation in Atlanta Pride 2018 presented a great opportunity to speak to the LGBTQ community to further its recruitment initiatives.The effort led by Brunner communicated a message of acceptance and solidarity via a pride banner and other creative executions showcased during the parade procession. The simple and impactful display of rainbow fire extinguishers was recently honored as a Platinum Award Winner by Graphis after previous honors bestowed by the 2019 Atlanta ADDYS and national recognition by the OBIE Awards. Additionally, Brunner’s Diversity Recruitment Campaign won a Gold Graphis Award.

“Our goal was to embody pride, honor and duty to inspire women, Latinos and LGBTQ candidates, among others, to become the next generation of Atlanta’s bravest,” says Jeff Maggs, Brunner’s Managing Director. “Our earliest reports indicate that the current recruiting class is the most diverse ever for AFRD, and these unprecedented numbers continue to climb.”

In addition to its AFRF work, Brunner’s undercover beavers from the “Woodland’s Most Wanted” brought home another kind of sought-after label – Gold Winner. Created for client YellaWood®, Brunner felt the best way to position the company was by showing nature’s elite builders in a pursuit of the Yella Tag through an omnichannel approach. All three broadcast spots received a Gold Graphis Award.

“Everyone was excited about this campaign from contractors to dealers to consumers,” continues Maggs. “Our campaign built upon the established 5-Star Backyards initiative and created such an instant response that one dealer reported a business owner unrelated to the lumber industry requested YellaWood® material for their store.”
