Brunner Concludes 2018 with Promotion of Five to Executive and Leadership Positions
Agency distinguishes employees for excellence and expertise across disciplines
Pittsburgh (February 5, 2019) – With a new year, comes new opportunities. And that’s exactly what five recently promoted Brunner employees have done.They’ve created new growth for the agency. Created new skillsets within their teams. Created new ways to collaborate while also never losing sight of developing impactful work for clients. And now, they’re being recognized for these efforts and more.

Recent promotions include:
• Kristen Taggert has been promoted to VP, Brand Engagement
o After joining Brunner as Director of Social Media, Kristen will now lead the newly formed Brand Engagement practice encompassing Social Media, Public Relations, Content Strategy and Influencer Marketing, as VP, Brand Engagement. With emphasis on the intersectionality of data analytics, technology and creative, her more than 12 years of experience, spanning national professional services organizations and consumer brands, combined with her acute leadership skills, is enabling the agency to successfully create a new niche. Kristen’s ability to derive and distill insights, lead with grace and empower those around her to do their very best work, make her the embodiment of Brunner’s core values – heart, collaboration and passion.
• Melissa Richards has been promoted to VP, Human Resources
o Having spent nearly 10 years in the highly-regulated gaming industry in increasingly senior roles, and with more than 20 years of overall experience, Melissa combines her ability to lead and inspire with tactical excellence that has successfully improved the agency’s operations, processes and culture. Recently eclipsing her first anniversary with Brunner in January, Melissa’s role has continued to grow – she first joined the agency as Human Resources Manager, was promoted to Director of Human Resources and will now serve as VP, Human Resources. In addition to day-to-day leadership of the entire function, she’s also successfully revamped all HR software and continues to fully digitize the Shared Services experience.
• Meredith Klein has been promoted to Director of Public Relations
o Just before her third anniversary with Brunner, Meredith has been named Director of Public Relations. Building upon nearly seven years of ad agency experience, local and national recognition as a top under-30 talent, and learnings from previous positions with Brunner including Associate Director of Public Relations and Public Relations Account Supervisor, she will serve as the agency’s most senior PR expert. Meredith is responsible for continued practice development, within Brand Engagement, new business and day-to-day client management.
• Trish Duffy has been promoted to UX Design Manager
o With an eye for design, a desire for excellence and more than 10 years of experience, Trish will continue to deliver revolutionary work as UX Design Manager. As head UX designer and function lead, she will manage the team as it continues to successfully operate at the juncture of beautiful design and intuitive experiences. Also, building upon her previous Brunner experience as Senior UX Designer and UX Designer, Trish will facilitate the development of unique service offerings to grow the Digital Experience function.
• Steve Boothe has been promoted to Digital Development Manager
o A Brunner veteran touting nearly eight years of digital development experience, and nearly 10 years overall, Steve will play a fundamental role within the Digital Experience practice. As Digital Development Manager, he will combine his expert skills with mentorship of junior designers, while also continuing to lend vast knowledge and creative problem-solving to clients. Building upon his previous success as a Brunner frontend developer, Steve’s responsibilities are expanding to include frontend, backend and application development.
